FAQs

Q: How long until I go Solo?

A: On average it takes around 50 flights to get to solo standard, but this can vary widely depending on pilot aptitude and how regularly a trainee can fly. Regular flying - say, at least one visit to the airfield every two weeks - will usually give a trainee a better rate of progress.

National Certificates of Achievement are gained by progressing through the training syllabus. All training follows Gliding Federation of Australia (GFA) standards and leads to internationally recognised qualifications.
