Welcome to the Victorian Motorless Flight Group (VMFG), Victoria’s largest gliding club. VMFG is one of the largest non-commercial clubs in Australia. We offer free instruction, fun, adventure, great company and one of the newest and highest performance fleets in the country. No matter what your experience level, interests or ambitions we can help you achieve your goals in soaring flight.
Established well over 50 years ago, VMFG provides a friendly and social atmosphere to talk about flying and enjoy the freedom of soaring with the local wedge tail eagles.
We have some of the best facilities to be found around Melbourne, with the capability of striking out inland for long distance flights. Flights of over 750 Kms have been achieved from our facilities.
Being a non-commercial operation, the instructors provide free tuition to the same GFA standard found at any commercial operation in Australia.
